How our I Ching content is created
This page describes the actual workflow behind the hexagram pages: the source layers we use, where AI assists, and which structural facts are checked before publication.
Research and original writing
We begin with the received King Wen sequence, each figure’s six Yin and Yang lines, the eight trigrams, and widely documented cultural concepts. We use that structure to write a restrained present-day orientation for open self-reflection. A hexagram name is not treated as a prediction or a finished verdict.
The wording is created for Wandelraum. We compare the number, Chinese character, line figure, upper and lower trigrams, and structurally related hexagrams. Readers can report a contradiction through the contact page so that it can be investigated and corrected.
How AI assists
AI may help prepare drafts, language variants, translation comparisons, and possible checks. It does not determine the six lines, trigrams, or sequence. Those facts come from the site’s structural dataset and are covered by automated tests.
AI assistance does not establish scholarly or spiritual authority. The pages therefore identify symbolic interpretation as interpretation and avoid claims about another person’s thoughts, certain events, or guaranteed outcomes.
Checks before publication
The site operator manually spot-checks pages in all four languages and runs automated checks across all 64 entries. These checks cover number and name, Chinese character, the six lines from bottom to top, Yin and Yang counts, upper and lower trigrams, internal links, and Simplified or Traditional Chinese usage.
This is not a review by an invented expert board. It is a documented editorial and technical quality check. When a statement remains uncertain, we narrow the wording, show that more than one reading is possible, or correct the page.
Why we do not copy modern translations
Modern I Ching translations and commentaries may be protected by copyright. Wandelraum does not reproduce extended passages or imitate a particular modern edition. The pages summarize traditional structures in original wording and keep them separate from present-day reflection prompts.
